Too early to buy?

Question

I'm 6 weeks and have a bit of spare money this month for a change, it is too early to buy bottles, sterilisers etc? Will they be okay to be put away until next July?

I've been buying baby stuff for over a year to save me money when we finally have a babe! I have tons of toys, bottles, binkys, wipes and diapers. Just barely found out I'm 6 weeks! :)

It's probably a good idea to start buying stuff. Just be sure to not get all 0 to 3 months clothes. Chances are if you have a baby shower that's what they will be getting you and at that age they grow so fast they may only fit it for a month and a half.

I'm only 5 weeks and I've caved and bought a couple things. It makes me feel happy and I feel like it keeps me positive! We have bought an outfit, a little pair of booties, and a stuffed toy for the nursery. We know it's too soon but we also know that feeling positive and thinking toward the future will be beneficial.

You can always save the money or put the money on a gift card for Babies R Us or Target...

Just keep in mind that not all babies take all types of bottles, might not fit the Brand of clothes you buy, and could get a rash from a diaper other babies use.

I would rather save my money, and buy the things i need after the baby is born.

With my first, he only took a certain bottle, could only use pampers, and was long and thin. He did not fit other diaper brands, and clothes from ex. H&M had a wider fit that he drowned in.

The stores does not close after your baby is born :)

Go ahead! If it makes you happy there's nothing wrong with starting early :) There is a very real risk miscarrying this early (I'm six weeks also and worry about it every day) but no one really knows when and if it will happen... so if you're ok buying early then go for it! If anything does happen (God forbid) then you can always tuck away and save for later :) Best of luck to you!!

I would wait and save the money until you're at least 12 weeks. Maybe I'm superstitious and a worrier though?!
