Baby clothes choices for hospital

Since newborn clothes is 5 to 8 lbs is it best I should pack my baby 0 to 3 months in case my baby is more than 8 lbs. Just want y'all take on it so I can wash the outfits for the hospital. I'm trying to pack his bag so I can focus on my bag.
