Adhesive around your patch?

I've been on Xulane for only two weeks, but the adhesive rubs off a lot and leaves a black ring around the patch. Is this normal or a side effect, or am I doing something wrong? I make sure to put it in places where it won't be rubbed on, and that it's secure. It doesn't fall off or peel a lot, it just leaves a lot of adhesion.
