Missed miscarriage?

Question

Is it possible that baby can have a heartbeat if the baby was not front facing? Baby was turned around back and back part of head. They couldn't find a hearbeat . does it catch it if baby was not facing front? I don't want to get a D&C if Thiers still a chance they missed it. Please let me know

Maybe you can ask your doctor or say you want a second opinion, tell them exactly how you feel...do you think the ultrasound tech took the proper amount of time look for the heartbeat? Don't ever feel like your being over powered, you can ask as many questions as you please. Don't give up until you get the answers you need.

If they were using a Doppler there's a chance they could miss it. My doctor won't even try the Doppler until 12 weeks. If it was a vaginak ultrasound they would have definitely seen/heard it I'm sorry. I'm not completely sure about abdominal but I think they would hear it unless you have a tilted uterus (which I do and had no idea until I got pregnant). Definitely ask for a vaginal ultrasound for your peace of mind before you do a D&C. I'm sorry you're dealing with this.
