photosensitivity, who else has been diagnosed?

I had my first skin cancer check about a week ago.. Thankfully all mine are currently not cancerous, but I was informed that because of my skin type I am 4x more likely to get skin cancer..
I'm 19 years old and no amount of sunscreen prevents 2nd degree sunburn, half the time zinc doesn't stop it either. I am photosensitive And extremely pale. I only need 1/2 an hour in the sun to blister up. It sucks having to go swimming with board shorts on and a sleeved shirt, and it's definitely not attractive.
When I told people I am photo sensitive (which can also be referred to as a sun allergy) people thought I was making it up, and told me there is no way someone can be "allergic" to the sun.
Well the thing is, you can, it sucks, and you can't do anything about it!
