Induction with a balloon?!

Question

I have a scheduled induction next week. Has anyone experienced an induction using the balloon to dilate the cervix?  It sounds pretty painful. Just wondering what others experiences have been!  Thanks!

I had the bulb because I just wasn't dilating at all. I don't remember much (it was 5 years ago) and I was so tired and they gave me stadol to help with the pain, but I remember being all drugged up trying to move around and looking at my nurse going "is it supposed to fall out?" And it did its job and made me dilate to an 8! Took a few hours though. I have a feeling I will need it again.

It's called a foley bulb and after cervadil and pitocin failed to get me very far, they used the foley bulb.

When it came out, my water broke and I had my son not long after. I did have an epidural, so I didn't feel much besides stretching.
