TMI Is this my mucus plug? 33 weeks..

Ive had this all week midwife doesnt seem to give a crap about any of my symptoms.. like having horrible back contraction to my stomach a couple nights ago and my spotting last week.. is this my plug ? Or is my midwife right on not caring ?

Looks like part of it. I lost something like this a few weeks back around 28 weeks. It can re grow but it's probably a good idea to get an exam just to make sure all is ok. I had been having pressure/slight cramping as well and found out it's because my cervix is softening. Losing some desn't necessarily mean labor is right around the corner though so don't stress too much! :)

That's part of it. The entire plug is about 100x's that. It will co e out closer to birth and be blood tinged. Plugs do regrow. By 33 wks you may be starting to open and thin (dialate and efface) it will continue to fall out in small pieces it that's the case.

Just an FYI, when I lost my plug there was no blood, no brown, no pink it was pure mucus colored. I hadn't lost any during my pregnancy and it honestly looked like the clearish snot color when you are sick and blow your nose. It wasn't very thick at all. Just as every woman is different, so is her mucus plug.

Maybe your midwife feels that way bc the mucus plugs do grow back. I've also heard of women losing pieces of it for a few days. It's not necessary an indicator of starting labor. I've been losing pieces of mine for a few weeks. It's not everyday but it started around week 28 for me and I'm 33 weeks now.

Mucous plug regenerates over and over. I lost big pieces of it over and over from 25 weeks on with my first pregnancy. It's completely normal. If there is a ton of blood with it, that's your bloody show which usually means labor. But that right there isn't abnormal.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't count as a labor symptom unless it's "bloody show" which means it'll have brown, orange, red or pink in it. 
Try not to worry too much, stay hydrated and rest when you can. 
But trust your instincts. If you think it's something to worry about, get another opinion.
