How did your other half pop the question?

I don't think I've seen this up here! I've seen rings and wedding dresses, but what's the story behind it???

He knew I wanted to use my great grandmother's engagement ring as my own. It was in my jewelry box, and he stole it! On our 3 year anniversary, we were going to a family picnic and he kept insisting he had to stop at his place. Once inside, he got super awkward and reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring and made a little speech that is still a blur to this day. I was so caught off guard I immediately started laughing/crying.

We had been at a HUGE crossroads in our relationship. He had never wanted to get married or have kids and it wasn't negotiable for me. Neither of us had expected to fall in love (we were FWBS and he's 12 years older). My best friend had her 3rd baby a month before he proposed and it really hit me hard. I gave him a month to figure out what he wanted or I was leaving. We were married on 5/10/15 and our son is due 6/16/16. 😍😍😍

He proposed in the middle of the ice at Rockerfeller Center. We had been there about 10 years before that so we had some fun memories there. He had my family hiding in the crowd and he flew my two best friends from California to surprise me.

He didn't ask , he just told me we were getting married and assumed I wouldn't disagree . He later went and asked for my hand and once he had my parents blessing he gave me the ring

We were sitting on the couch and he grabbed my hand. He said he waited too long to ask and he was sorry. So he asked if I still wanted to marry him. We had been together 6.5 years

He's a very practical man. we'd been working together for a few months and dating. he just asked me one night after dinner " if I asked you to marry me would you do it?" I said of course I would marry you! he says ok great ...a week later we went ring shopping. And he knew he made the right choice when of the three rings he'd  picked out that he thought I might like ;I didn't like the giant gold one or the giant silver 1.  I liked a modest silver one with a star setting.

We went skydiving.. He paid extra for the video. Jumped first and was waiting for me with the ring.. When we were in the plane our friends nailed down a king sized sheet he spraypainted :)

My husband took me snowshoeing for my birthday to a lake with the same name as me. I could tell he was acting super weird the whole day and then finally when we got back to the truck he was on one knee taking my snow shoes off for me and he pulled a box out of his pocket and proposed!! It was so nice because we had already invited friends over for dinner for my birthday so it was a surprise for them too! 😘

We were walking into the bar/restaurant in this little town up north called Morley. We were turkey hunting. It was lunch time and I was about 3 months pregnant. Was sat down at a table, ordered our drinks. There was a claw game and some vending machines on the one wall. He came back with a turkey stuffed animal and a plastic ring. Sat down next to me and said I'm not asking becouse of the baby, I'm asking you to be with me forever. Of corse I said yes but told him no wedding for a while.  We got married on the anniversary of being together 8 years. Married a year now with a third one the way. Oh and the funny thing is our first was born on Thanksgiving Day, so the turkey stuffed animal was the best choice possible. We call her our turkey.
This is the ring he proposed with and on our wedding day he gave me a beautiful real ring. He said I earned it for being with his OCD ass. His word.lol

My hubby and I had known each for four years. We went to school together, he was a senior, me a little old freshman. He wasn't into the little chorus geek me at the time. Fast forward to February 10th, 2001. I'm at work, and he walks in. Says "hey stranger" and leaves his phone number. About 3 hours later, I'm dead at work, so I call him.  He comes back to hang out. We start dating that night.  Four days later, on Valentine's, he picks me up from school in this beautiful car. He tells me that I have a gift behind the seat. I pull it,  and it's a beautiful necklace and engagement ring. He tells me that he was stupid for ignoring me all those years and would I make him the happiest man alive and marry him. I said yes and we were married 6 months later.
