First time mom. 😰

I'm a first time mom, I'm 20 years old. On Saturday I will be 14 weeks and my mom always asks me if I feel the baby move and tell her no. It is normal to not feel anything? I get little weird pains on my lower tummy but it's not painful to where I can't stand it it's just a quick little there and gone pain which I though could be the baby moving. Any advice?
