Do I get to celebrate Mothers Day?

I'm a first time mom and I've had a few people ask how I'm celebrating my first Mother's Day but my baby is due June 16. My husband says I'm not a mom yet so I don't get to celebrate it yet... What do you think?

Hell yes you do. I would slap my man if he said that to me. I am pregnant with my first and I'm not due til November. I have been raising my boyfriends daughters for the last 2+ years also and he buys me a gift every year.

Um! You've sacrificed too much to not be celebrated! I'm due June 18 and I sure as hell am going to be appreciated and celebrated my my SO. I have to carry the baby for up to 40 weeks while he carried the baby for like 3 minutes. I'm celebrating!😉

From the moment you find out you're pregnant you're a mother. My husband is buying me something for Mother's Day and I told him I'm buying him something for Father's Day because although the baby isn't due until July, he's definitely already a father. I think your SO is being kinda rude

Tell your husband to get his head out of his ass.lol. you've been a mother since the initial confirmation of pregnancy. Just because he may not feel to fatherly yet as he has not experienced much so far, does not mean you belittle your experience and say you're not a mother yet. You absolutely get to celebrate and enjoy mother's day as the mother you have been since day 1. Best of luck, momma! And congratulations! 😊👍❤

I put no on the survey probably as a gut reaction bc I'm not celebrating Mother's Day (single mom and my family lives out of state). But what everyone is saying is true about becoming a mother the first time you see that positive pregnancy test. I felt like I became a mom at 20 weeks (it just took me a little longer). Tell your husband to get with it and if it comes down to it, buy yourself some flowers and a nice little gift! You deserve it!

If you want to, then you have the right to. Me, I personally don't care that much about mothers day this year. I probably won't care until my kids can make me little cute pictures and crafts. Each to their own.
