What color eyes does my baby have ??

The one on the left is most recent of his eye color. Anyone else have their babies eye color like this and what color did it turn out to be ?

Usually Caucasian babies are born with blue/grey eyes and depending on how much melanin is released will determine the eye color, the more melanin released the darker the color. Usually from 6-9 mo of age is when you can get a good idea on color; however, they can change up to a year. If they're dark around 6-9 mo they won't get lighter, but lighter eyes can get darker. I have hazel and my husband has brown but both my dad and his moms side have green so I'm hoping for green :)

My daughter's eyes look very similar!! I'm anxious to see what they turn out to be. I have very dark almost black eyes but my husband has green eyes. My daughters eyes look really blue sometimes and the doctor says the color looked pretty light. So who knows we'll see!!

All three of my daughters had/have that color at birth and my two oldest have this shade now. (We will have to wait a while to see my newborn's eye color)

Finally got him to open his eyes! His skins a little dry right now so ignore that hahaa. They actually look a bit green right now.

My eyes were black when I was a baby and now they range from silver to any shade of blue depending on the day. :)

All babies' eyes start out a similar blue grey color. Their bodies aren't producing enough melanin to show the true color yet. They won't have their final eye color until 6-9 months.
