My son is 20 days old & I'm breastfeeding. It was painful from the start & we couldn't figure out why. Finally I seen something about lip ties & tounge ties on a mommy site I'm a part of. So I lifted up my son's lip & sure enough there it was. The only symptoms we have are his lip has a crease & turns white from improper latching. He's gassy & my nipple are sore they were cracked & bleeding but lanolin has saved them. Now I'm just dealing with sore nipples. I'm wondering are there any other breastfeeding mama's out there with this problem? They said it could cause a gap in the front teeth. It's also harder to fix as they get older so now I'm worried & wondering what to do.
