Can drugs effect infertility ?

I use to be on drugs , I smoked weed still do , I was taking xanax bars dilaudid nrocos vicoden and I experienced with cocaine a little bit . could this be then reason why ? I was talking to my ob she said im alright but am I really ? I've been trying to get pregnant for 10 months and ovw stopped taking pills about 7 months ago . any comments helps .

I'm a recovering addict, used to be really into coke, heroin, zannie bars, and alot of other stuff. I haven't touched anything in 3 years now right after I found out I was pregnant with my first son I went to a detox center and they referred me to a suboxone doctor and I got prescribed subutex. Been on it ever since and am now pregnant with my second boy. I think maybe sometimes it could effect fertility but not always. I'm no doctor, but just sharing my story of how I did end up conceiving being a recovering addict. Best of luck to you hun!

Trying for 10 montha but only off oills for 7? Are you mentally really for a child? Fertility-wise you are probably fine as those drugs don't have any effect on it, mj can interfere but not to a huge extent. I wouls concentrate on sobreity for a little before you bring a child into this.

My fiance's sister does hard core drugs and she has 8 kids.  She still does them.
