Does anybody care?

Question

Does anyone care about the planet anymore? Does anyone care enough to do something about global warming? Does anyone even try to be eco friendly?
I keep hearing people say stuff like "well, the world is going to end anyway, why even bother?" Or "we're all going to die anyway." Do people really think like this??

What are you and your family doing to try to be more friendly to our Earth? Please share creative tips and ideas!

The world won't "end", mankind will.

We are too lazy to change simple things about ourselves, so making huge ones is near out of the question.

I'm going to law school in order to become a lawyer for the EPA. Because I'm sick of private companies not giving a crap about this environment. Also,  i will be lobbying against those companies a well

Alternate opinion: I genuinely believe that people are inherently good and inherently do care. I think what happens it is all feels so overwhelming that they get into a cycle of learned helplessness. It's not that they don't care- it's that they feel that nothing they can do will make a big enough impact and they give up.

I think a lot of us care just not enough and we don't know what to do to help. People also get picked on for being "high maintenance" for doin stuff like recycling.

Reusable menstrual products are my favorite, cloth pads, mentstrual cups, etc. and when I have my own land someday, I plan on living sustainably by raising livestock and growing lots of fruits and veggies. I would also like to live in a home that is energy efficient and small. I feel that we Americans (and others) tend to have WAY more than we need when it comes to basically everything. I try to stick to the basics so I'm not wasteful.

So yes, I care. So much.

I'm basically vegan and I'm a camp counsellor so all summer I live in the forest and teach kids how to respect and get closer to nature, from my clothes to my food to my
home I do my best to do the right thing. educate myself and others.
