How do they flip a breech baby?

My baby's been breech this whole pregnancy and they've been talking about flipping her, just wondering how they do this? They don't reach inside my vagina do they?

The doctor applies pressure to your stomach to get the baby to turn. It hurt, but it worked when my 2nd child was breech. You can ask your doctor about his/her success rate with turning babies and how often there was a problem. In my case, I was right across the hall from a surgical suite in the event that I needed an emergency c-section due to complications. Everything went fine, and after the doctor turned the baby, he said there was a 20% chance she would turn back, so I stayed at the hospital for an induction. Today she is a healthy 2 year old. :)

My doctor says she doesn't do that anymore bc it causes too much possibilities of trouble for mom and baby...but they do recommend changing positions yourself during labor if you need baby to flip...

my baby is "frank breech" meaning his lil butt is in my pelvis and head in my ribs. a "version" was suggested, google ecv. they give you pain and relaxation meds then apply pressure to your stomach to force baby to turn, with the help of ultrasound. the benefit just doesn't outweigh all of the risks to me.

They usually do a massage on your belly. I heard it's a little uncomfortable. You can also do stretches and stuff to flip the baby your self. If you have a Pinterest try looking up ways to flip a breech baby :)
