Hard spots on feet

So, I've had an extremely hard spot on my foot (on both sides) for year now. Like, so hard if you tap it with your Nail it sounds like you're tapping plastic or something. I also have a milder spot on my big toe. The milder one is orange.

I can peel chunks of skin off the red one if I wanted to. It doesn't hurt, but it's uncomfortable in hard shoes sometimes. What is it? How do I get rid of it? Thanks!
