Engaged or married/ timing with friends

What are your thoughts about getting engaged or married around the same time as your friends or people you know? On one hand it's about you as a couple and only you, but you want to share your excitement with people you know.. But if someone else you know is engaged around the same time are you excited together? Or do you want to have your own limelight?
