My May baby made an early arrival! Born 2-24-16💙

Sadie • Nathaniel William O'Donnell, Due May 27 🍼💙

So the story goes as follows: I had an incredibly healthy pregnancy.. Up to 34 weeks. It was then when I got told about the mild anemia and then, The preeclampsia. The news of preeclampsia got me sent from my doctors appointment to labor and delivery on FRIDAY for observation an monitoring. Was there for hours with the visit ending with confirmed mild preeclampsia, and news that I was to quit working at that point and had been put on light bed rest. We were going to work hard to make it to 37 weeks!

Then SATURDAY night came around and the pelvic pain was excruciating! Certainly was a bad night with my description being very literal and a ring unbearable. I was to the point that sitting, standing, laying down and even soaking in the bathtub (Which had been my absolute saving grace) all had become far too uncomfortable. I ended up falling asleep around five am (I would call it sleeping it was more so a pain induced mini coma! Lol) and then come 6:00 am (on SUNDAY) I awoke quickly and felt as though I was either peeing or preparing to pee my pants an then when I stood- GUSH. I thought my water had broken, which was a terrifying! Streaming down my legs and onto the floor we left a trail from bed and all over the floor where I stood in the bathroom.(My bedroom is across the hall from the bathroom) To my horror, it was blood! And a lot of it!

I live literally five minutes from the hospital and, before I had time to think, I was in labor and delivery getting an iv and a catheter. The on-call ob doctor ordering and having an OR prepped for an emergency c-section! It all moved so quickly I was poked and prodded by the anesthesiologist and then boom bam I heard my beautiful son cry out!

He was born at 5 lbs 13 oz and was 18 inches long. He was on.oxygen for just short of the first 24 hours thus far but has been weaned completely off A's of change of shift the s'morning and is doing completely spectacular and I honestly love him just more than feelings could comprehend or words could ever begin to say!

Anyway, there's my birth story and I just wanted to share his handsome little self with y'all! Welcome to the world, NATHANIEL WILLIAM💙💙
