What type of pads to use?

So I'm planning to put aloe and witch hazel on some pads and put them in the freezer. I know I need big pads but like type are the best for putting in the freezer with liquid following with the use of the pad. Cotton, that gel stuff that diaper stuff or some other type?

I actually just bought baby diapers and made them with those. At my Hostpial that's what they did, except without the aloe. I then bought the Always Infinity Flex Foam pads, liners & used Tucks to line those with.

I made so may of those pads and could stand them once I got home. I got a few always heavy but only used for a few days then gradually went to lighter pads. I'm three weeks PP and using just panty liners. My advice, don't buy a jumbo pack of each kinda.

I used the biggest ones I could find at Target. Overnight and extra absorbency.  11 days PP I've switched to the thinner foam ones.

I used the thin always infinity pads.

I tore but only level 1 spider ones so rinsed myself but never needed the crazy pads. There wasn't enough pain to need that pain of those pad-cycles.

What type of pads to use?
