How long do I wait after giving birth before I hit the gym ?

They told me to strictly rest the first two weeks and then if I feel up to it just ease into working out. You have to start out small because your body has to build its strength back up. I've started going on walks and doing a few crunches and squats. Once I get use to that I'll be doing more cardio when I can. Just make sure not to do too much too fast and listen to your body. You don't want to hurt yourself or make healing take longer. Even if you have to start out slow just hang in there. It's gonna take a lot of time and work to be able to exercise normally again

6weeks. Until then just watch what you eat and take your little one for a walk.

I tried to do a little bit more of a work out and I started bleeding and feelings sore where I had my stitches

They say 6 weeks. I'm already doing light walking at a week PP because sitting around was making my hips and legs ache like crazy, and light upper body weights, but no more then a mile walking cuz I'm still tender down there. I just assess as I go along and if my body says "ouch, stop", I stop.
