Should we stay away from top 40 baby names?

I chose baby names long before I was even married. Both our kids names are in the top 20 but I love their names. Go with what you love and just prepare for 3 other Sophias or Isabelle's every year in your child's class.

I'm looking at names in the 500s. :) But that's just me. My daughter has a name that is an older name, cute, but not common. I personally don't want her to be Lauren S., or a 4/5th in her class. My best friend is the opposite. Both of her kids are in the top 20. It's a personal choice and if you live the name, who cares. :)

Seriously, who cares if you choose a name that happens to be on the top 40? If someone does they have major issues!! Remember it isn't the name that makes the child unique but your parenting!!

I work with kids and I have met some children with crazy unique names and spelling but their personalities about as bland and dull as vanilla!!

Apparently the baby name we picked was top 50, however, I've never met anyone with the name, known anyone who was naming their child this, or even seen it used on this app? I think the lists depend on your area.

We're opting for the much less common names! I loved Sophia until my friend who works at a daycare told me there are 3 Sophia's and a Sophie in her one class lol 
My name is Tessa and I've only met like 2 or 3 others in my whole life, I always loved having a unique name. I think I knew about 12 Ashley's growing up though lol
