How long to wait before getting engaged??

If you've been dating a few years,both in your early twenties, graduated college and working, not living together, and know you want  get married, would you wait just so you're older? Or get engaged and married?

I'd get engaged, go for it! Why wait?! But personally I wouldn't marry until you were living together, just in my opinion! But why wait to get engaged! I'd say yes now if my partner asked even though it's only been a few months, when you know you're with the right person, you just know!

I agree that there's no reason you should need to wait to get engaged, although there's no reason to rush into marriage. I feel that it's very important to live together before marriage b/c it tells you a whole lot that could make or break your relationship, even if you stay together often now! If you feel that marriage is right for the 2 of you, then go for it! You only live once & there will always be people who will criticize you no matter what. Do what makes you happy! Good luck! ッ

There's no right answer for this. Especially since we don't know you or your relationship. It's completely unique to you and your SO. Don't rush things.

I think it's a good idea to live together first. We were living together for 3 years before we got engaged/married. When you live with a person you find out so much more about them and how it is to live with them and for some people that can be a deal breaker.

I got engaged at 18 married at 20 now we have been married for 5 1/2 years.  He proposed at my senior prom :)

Go for it!! I got with my boyfriend (now husband)  when I was 15 we got engaged 1yr later we didn't set a date to get married we just enjoyed each other's company then the time came to set a date it felt right and we married 7yrs later!! We have been together 9yrs now and married for 1yr good luck!! X
