I'm 15wks and just started slightly showing, I'm scared that I'll be startled the first time I feel a kick.

I started feeling kicks almost at 18 weeks, i felt flutters once at 16. I have a posterior planceta which is why i feel my daughter alot. If you have an anterior placenta you'll feel baby a little later or kicks wont be as strong until later

I felt my first distinct kick when I was like 21w5d. A few days or so before that, I felt like he was tumbling around in there. I wouldn't say it was startling, because I was expecting it. I was literally touching my belly waiting for it.

The first strong kick I felt, I was startled. I had been feeling flutters for a week or two, but this one was really distinct, like a jerking sensation. I actually looked down and said out loud, "oh, hello there!"
