So this morning I had a call from the midwife telling me the results are back and the risk for a chromosomal abnormality is high. I was in pieces, all I want is for my little bundle of joy to be happy and healthy! She booked me in for an appointment with her today to discuss the options and I am none the wiser! For some really strange reason the Laboratory cannot give me any reason as to why the chance is high nor will they tell the midwife our chances of having a baby with a chromasomal abnormality (they tell every woman this!!!) The midwife said she has never had this happen before...and she is now calling the laboratory to find out why on earth they won't explain. I am so confused!! Has anyone ever had this happen to them before??
