Induction, born 4•19•16
I was induced late Monday night 4•18, by 10:45pm the pill was in place and immediately I started cramping. The whole time all I could feel was light period like cramps. At 2:30am they came in to check me and I was already at 5cm, mind you I started at a fingertip & was still only having light cramping. Through out the "labor" process if I would get up to use the restroom or walk/sit up the cramping would completely go away & I would feel 100% normal. Due to me not really feeling anything they wanted to drastically up the pitocine so we had the epidural placed not once but TWICE due to the first one not being put in far enough it just simply didn't work.
I felt the need to push around 1pm but was told I was only at 7cm, 20 mins later I couldn't resist. The dr walked in to me demanding to push and I for sure was 10cm! My husband scrubbed up and delivers the baby all the way from manual stretching-crowning- head out, then body out. We loved it. This is our 5th and last baby, it's absolutely a delivery to remember. I wouldn't change one thing 💙 knowing my husband brought our last born into this world is something so priceless for us. If you and your husband are up for it I would definitely ask about dad delivering.
