Manual pump... Yay or nay!?

Question

Anybody used a lansinoh manual pump? Was it hard to use/clean? I will be a full time sahm and don't see paying $200+ when I probably won't even leave baby right away except the occasional date night( so works away from home 90% of the time). 2nd time mom, first time attempting EBF. Insurance does not cover pumps. Im so lost!

I have the Lansinoh manual AND a Medela PISA. I use the manual at night when I wake up engorged (I keep it on the nightstand). It actually seems more efficient than my electric, it just takes longer to do each side individually.

Definitely get a manual pump. As a SAHM I only pump on occasion and having to set up the regular pump and be tied to one location for 20 minutes is a pain. I find that I can pump faster with the manual pump. I haven't used the lansinoh pump so I can't speak to that specifically, but I love my Medela harmony and all the moms I know that use it love it as well.

Well, for me a manual pump didn't work because I discovered (with my first baby) that I have a low milk supply. I was expecting to have plenty of milk, was so upset when that didn't happen. With baby #2 I did the electric pump and got a bit more than with the first. But still not enough to fill baby's tummy. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that in my experience, it'll depend on your body and how much milk you'll have and how easy/hard it'll be to extract. Good luck :)
