My daughter just turned four months, and since we left the hospital I have been using a shield when I nurse her. She has now started to take it off and begin nursing without it and I am happy to do that for her, even if it makes me extra sore. But since we've begun this transition when she is done eating she will lift her head up turn and look the other way then gently lay her head down and fall asleep. During the night time feelings I am in a reclined position, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I am just worried that she is going to hurt her neck twisting that much. She literally looks like and owl when she does it. Any suggestions on what or why she might be doing this?
