Scheduled C-Section experiences??

So I just was scheduled for a C-Section tomorrow morning due to his size and me being 40 weeks already and I'm so excited to meet him but I'm SO nervous. Any moms that have good experiences they can share or any advice?

Know that it is major surgery, BUT they do it multiple times every day! While in the OR they were listening to music and chatting super casual. At first that made me nervous, but then I realized how second-nature it was for them and that made me feel much better! I was in and out of the surgery in 30 minutes. 
You'll be taken to a recovery area between the OR and your PostPartum room. My hospital didn't allow but 1 visitor to come back there since it's just one of those big rooms with curtains between beds. I was there about an hour and half. Once I got to my PostPartum room, it was another 30 minutes or so before visitors could come in - so let your family know it may be a while. 
The healing part is supposedly longer, and it does take a number of hours for the epidural to wear off so you can get out of bed. If possible, it's great if someone can stay with you at the hospital from delivery to discharge. With the incision and staples, it was difficult to get in and out of bed and to use the restroom. My husband was a major trooper helping me so much with all of it. Another set of hands makes things much easier in the healing process.
Don't worry about packing much clothes, especially bottoms. With the incision site right there at the pant-line, I wasn't able to comfortably wear bottoms (other than stretchy pants and maxi skirts) for a while - I didn't wear anything but the robes they provide while at the hospital. 
Ask for and take home AS MANY of the large pads and especially the hospital underwear as possible. Underwear also sits right at the incision spot, so I wore the hospital underwear as long as they lasted. They were amazing, didn't hurt at all, and are supposedly washable - although I did not test that.
My little guy is 3 months old now and the scar is super thin and healing wonderfully!

Don't worry about it at all, my friend had it and she said it's the best thing ever not experiencing labour and getting to meet you baby!

I had my baby by c-section on Monday for the same reason. Everything went OK It was as bad as I thought. I am a bit tender but I was home from hospital the next day. I hope everything goes well for you and don't worry x
