What an experience! The day the love of my life was born.

Heather

I had a scheduled induction for my son on sunday 4/24/16 because I had high AF and my son was measuring at 10 lbs via ultrasound that Wednesday. My doctor really wanted to schedule me for a c section (she knew it would come to it I guess, should listen to the pros! Lol) but she really knew I wanted to have him naturally. I got to the hospital at 7 am and they started my pitocin and broke my water a little while later. My body really started to go into labor 10 minutes after my water was broken! I labored without any medication until 7 pm when I gave in. It was so intense! Nothing like I expected but they also said had my body went into labor naturally it wouldn't have been nearly as bad. I was devistated and cried about getting the epidural. I felt like I had failed my fiance and our son. JR was super supportive of my decisions and an hour later I was further disappointed. I stopped dilating at 4 cm. It had been 6 hours without any change and my doctor came in and said it would be best to call it and have a c section. In another way I was a bit relieved. It's not the way I wanted it to happen but my beautiful little boy is here and that's all that matters!

At 12:40 am on his great grandfather's birthday 4/25/16 Oliver Michael was born. 8 lbs 13 Oz 20.5 inches long.

I couldn't be more in love!
