Getting tube tied?

Question

How do you girls feel about getting your tube tied? Has anyone got it done please I need advice about it I have heard horrible things. I'm 35 years old.

I got mine done. I'm almost 4 weeks out, 24, married and have two kids(boy and girl). Wouldn't know if it's harder or anything, I had a csection and got them tied then. Everything still seems fine, I don't feel different from my first csection.

Thanks ladies , I really  appreciate all the comments, to tell you all I am scared of doing it but everyone around me tell me to do it. I feel like I'm not ready. I even cried myself to sleep last night. And I'm due in May

I got mine tied after having 2 kids, boy and a girl. After 3 years I started regretting my decision.... I had a reversal in 2014 and I've been ttc since. Make SURE  it's what you want. I was 24 when I got mine done. The reason was my husband at the time failed to mention that he carried a gene that would be passed on to my kids causing kidney failure. I was born with 4, I was a twin and the other dissolved except I got some of the organs. I was 3 when my parents found out and I was hospitalized to have 3 of them removed. So I now have one. So if my kids ever need a kidney I can't help them. My ex just received a kidney due to his failing... we divorced over 10 years ago and I have moved on and am now dating someone for over 5 years and we want to have a child together.... Sorry this is so long but I just wanted to share my experience with you. I thought I would be with my ex forever that's why I chose to tie my tubes because I didn't want to pass the kidney disease on from generation to generation.. but it didn't last and I whole heartedly regret my decision. Just make sure you are positive before you go through with it. I have seen so many women regret it and insurance won't help to get them reversed.

I'm getting mine tied after I'm done having kids. My mom got hers done after her fourth kid back in the late 90's and never had problems.

My aunt had one of hers come untied, but I don't think it re connected, my mom had hers done after my brother was born, as far as I know she hasn't had any problems. Personally I'm holding out for male birth control should come out next year from what I've heard.

Personally i wouldnt my mom got hers tied and had problems caused by the whole thing and ended until with a hysterectomy in the end. I will never get my tubes tied due to her experience.

My mom did hers after 4 kids. She did get pregnant again like 10 years after having them tied.

It's a longer recovery than it is for a man to get a vasectomy.
