Will Birth Control delay period?

I'm suppose to get my period today as indicated from the app and my cucle, but I started taking birth control pills on monday. Does it delay your period?

Answer

If you're still taking the hormone pills then you won't get your period till you start taking the sugar pills. When starting bc it's best to start at the beginning of your cycle so it doesn't affect your cycle too much.
