What is an ingrown hair?

Everyone in my period club is talking about it and im the only one that doesnt know, help me out?

It's when a hair starts to grow but doesn't break through the skin so it continued to grow under the skin. It usually causes a pimple like thing to form. Usually caused by not exfoliating.

They are basically hairs that have curled around and grown back into your skin instead of rising up. This kind of clogs up the follicle and can create what feels and kind of looks like a pimple on the skin. I've had a couple before and had to painfully extract the hair with some tweezers (honestly not the best option because if it's been there for a while, you'll probably have to do some work removing it and that can cause some skin damage and scars).
