Heavy bleeding 5 days postpartum

I had my little girl 5 days ago and ended with a second degree tear. The yesterday I had increased pain down there and today I've had more bleeding. I got maxi pads because I wasn't sure what I'd need after birth, and they've been too bulky and obviously not soaking one in an hour. But today I changed it sooner than usual and it was pretty soaked normally it's just a little-fair amount of blood. After an hiur its much more thanci usually have in a few hours. I had increased bleeding after birth and had to be given medicen in the hopsital. Is this normal? Any suggestions? Pain management? They gave me 800 ibuprofen and the spray from the hospital
