How many of you have lost a parent?

I lost my mother April 9, 2013, the worst day of my life! She was only 58, she had a lot of heath problems. Just wondering how many of you have gone through that. I was 27 at the time. She's my Angel & know she's watching over me!💕

My mum passed away in November 2015, so only like 4 months ago.
She had liver problems from contracting hepatitis C when she was young, she had been sick for a while so we knew she was going to die and she spent the last couple of months of her life in palliative/hospice care. Didn't make it any less hard when she finally passed though. 
I still miss her everyday, and I just got a tattoo a few days ago as my remembrance to her. 
It's her signature from the last card she gave me before she passed.

I lost my dad about 10 years ago to stomach cancer. I was 15 at the time. I hadn't seen him in 5 years when my step mom told called to say he had a heart attack. I flew to see him in FL. Once in the hospital they found the cancer. They tried to operate but when they opened him up the Drs realized they couldn't help him. I had to go back home but promised to visit him in a couple of months. He died exactly a month after I left. When I returned to Fl it was for his funeral. It's the hardest to think about the what ifs and I think about him often. I cherish all the memories I have of him and I really hope I get to see him again one day...

Just lost my dad Jan. 9,2016 of a massive heart attack. They put him on life support for three days until we decided to let him go. It took just over two hours for him too pass away. I held his hand the whole time. I miss my dad. I maybe 36 but he's my daddy and I still need him.

My dad passed 4-23-2011. He was 62 and had a massive heart attack.  We didn't even know he had heart disease. The first 2 urs after he died were so hard sometimes I would get anxiety attacks because the thought of never seeing him again made me feel helpless becaus no matter if I didn't see him everyday being I had moved 2 towns over just the thought that anytime I needed him he was there for me was a comforting thought. I miss him dearly.

Lost my dad to cancer in 1994 I was 12 but I remember everything about his sickness to the minute he called out to us in the night right before he died. 😢

I lost my mom a few months after I turned 18.. I had just left in August for college four hours away from home, came home for my first visit in October... My mom passed away the next day, without me getting to see her. 
She was only 40.

My mom passed of a heart aneurysm when she was 46, I was just 16. It has been really hard without her. At first I thought prom was a big deal, then I got married and divorced, but now I am pregnant with my own child and it is tough. The best advice anyone gave me is never expect it to get easier. That has helped me through a lot. I still don't know how that woman raised four kids on her own but she fought like hell to keep us all happy and healthy. I'm determined to do the same for my boy. My dad had always had heart problems. Heart disease runs in our family. Well him and my mom had us 3 kids when they were so young, when we got older he went back to partying like a teenager and doing drugs and not eating right. Well that took its toll on him. April 30 2015, one day after my son's 1st bday he passed away from heart failure. I was there beside him. Still not fully recovered from it but I will some day.

I lost my dad on January 25 2016. I miss him every day. Its been 3 months now n I do wish he was still with us. But we all no where they are. They are in a better place then we are right now. Sorry for everyone loss on here. We will see them again.
