Can I have a baby shower with baby #2?

I'm just curious what other moms think about having a baby shower for your second. I don't know the gender of my bun in the oven yet but I was thinking if it's a girl I would like a shower because all the clothes I have are for a boy. If it's a boy then maybe just a diaper shower so I can get to get her with my friends. Will this make me look greedy?

We just celebrated our shower this past weekend for our 2nd baby girl.... Kicker?... They will only be 11 months apart. Greedy? NO WAY! Here's how I look at it- it's a celebration of another precious gift! Why only have a shower for your first? Plus, the food, sweets,& cake where ON POINT at both showers- so the guests were in for a great treat:) this time we had only a diaper shower/changing table nessesities, Bc we already have the baby girl clothes, and equipment, & they are all still new. Also, in making both girls baby books, I wanted to make sure they both had shower pics/memorior to look back on.

Totally! It is a time for celebration if anything. You may have some stuff from your first baby but they are forevermore coming out with new things and let's be honest... You didn't hold on to every little thing. It's a perfect time to get some help where you might need it and celebrate this new pregnancy journey you are on!

We are having a shower for our second. We have a 3 year old girl and now we are having a boy. Everything we have is pink so we need a lot. Even if it's the same gender it's fun to celebrate baby.

I did & both my kids are boys. I see no problem in wanting to celebrate your new baby with your friends & family. Each baby is special, not just the first one.

You can have a baby shower and not have huge gifts, people can just get toiletries, an outfit , blankets ect. Just make it more about getting together and having fun and if they want to get a gift it's optional

I did. My first child was a boy. I am now pregnant with a little girl and we had nothing girlie for her. One thing we did was purchase all the bigger pricey stuff so for the shower people bought clothes blankets things like that

There is an 8 year difference. We are not having a shower, but are doing a reveal party with a diaper raffle. We've already bought majority of what we need for baby anyways. All from yard sales. Plus we just wanted to celebrate and not really ask for gifts; we've been trying for 7 years.
