Have you ever worn something you thought was ugly/hated just out of love because your parents/Sibling/Friend/SO and etcetera bought it for you as a gift and you want to make them happy?

When my mom first started learning to sew, she made me a scarf because I love scarves. I also love the color purple but the fabric was a bright, very neon purple with orange and yellow polka dots. The scarf was her first one ever so it wasn't well made. She also put a tag that said "I love you, monkey" inside the scarf. Now she's way better at making me scarves but that very first scarf is my favorite even though I thought it was ugly at the time. I love it! 😂

Yes. But I don't make a habit of it. Only if it's really special. Like if my fiancé gave me jewelry I didn't love, I'd wear it. But like, my FMIL bought these horrid shoes and asked me if I wanted them and I told her no because they weren't my style.

My SO wants me to wear daisy dukes. I am over weight and know my limit. I said no and now he's all upset. It may make him happy, but my feelings are just as important and I should never have to do something I'm uncomfortable with.

One night my husband came home from Christmas shopping with his sister and handed me a dress from Macy's and told me to put it on so we could go on a date night. It was ugly but I put it on and I love it. I loved that he thought of me and planned a night for us. I still have the dress because it's special to me
