Ugh. This morning one of my daughter's preschool teachers asked me if I was pregnant (they know we're TTC). When I said no, she said, "Well, you're starting to look it!" What the heck? I know she meant it in a sweet way, but I've gained quite a bit of weight recently from an autoimmune disease, and I'm incredibly self-conscious about what I look like right now (5'1" and 118 lbs). Who says something like that? "Oh, she's not pregnant, so I'll tell her she looks pregnant anyway!" I know she meant well, but geez. Huge downer for my day, and now I'm paranoid that I look like a complete cow.
