Period nose bleeds?

So this has happened to me 2 months in a row now. Last month the day I got my period (I usually get them during the night) and when I woke up in the morning, I had a nose bleed. Similarly, I got my period around 3am today and when I woke up at 10:30 I got a nose bleed. Does anybody get the same thing? Or know why? Or maybe it's just a coincidence?

I've heard this can also happen with a rare form of endometriosis where the endometrial tissue grows elsewhere in your body, in this case inside your nose or sinus cavity. Usually endometrial tissue grows around your uterus and ovaries but it can grow anywhere. And like the normal tissue inside your uterus, it fluctuates with your cycle, getting thicker and spongier and then shedding when you're on your period. So if you're getting nosebleeds at the time of your period, this could be one possibilty why. The endometriosis institute says anything bleeding / pain that occurs regularly with your period is suspect. I'd get it checked out but it's probably not anything to worry about!

Yesss!!! I got nosebleeds within a day of my period starting for the first few years! My mom thought it might just be a hormone thing.
