Spotting at 5w5d should I be worried?

Hi everyone,

This morning when I went to the bathroom to pee and when I wiped I noticed bright red blood on the toilet paper. It wasn't a lot, but it is was enough to make me concerned. Plus I have been having cramps in my left side like I would before my period would start. Should I be concerned or is this normal in early pregnancy?

I spotted. But as long as your numbers are going up don't worry too much. I would get checked but don't stress yourself.

Cramps and bleeding can be normal in early pregnancy, but if you're concerned go to the ER. I had some cramping and bleeding at 6 weeks and I'm very glad I went to the ER, just to ease my nerves. Good luck to you!
