Managers overthinking there title.

Hi. I've been working for 2 years now. And I got a new job that I really much enjoy for 7 months now! But the manager is somewhat rude. We have a general manager and he even gets upset with how she manages.
When she has a bad day, she throws it on anyone of us working, it's really dumb of her. Yesterday, she told me to follow her, and so I did. But at one point she was running throughout the restaurant, and I couldn't keep up that I lost her. She came back and scolded me in front of the customers saying , "If you're not going to follow me and listen to me, why are you here?"
And I replied with "I tried but I lost you. You didn't tell me where I should've gone."
And with saying that, she took it as a back talk and told me to shutup.
The disrespect I get from her is just so unbeliavble. I've never had a manager talk to me so rude since I worked. Especially getting screamed at infront of customers. We were on a wait of 1 hour and 40 minutes. So the place was full and many saw what she did.
She sent me home once because I didn't say sorry to her bestfriend. And she wanted ME to apologize for the kitchens fault. (They were backed up) and we were busy, so I waited until we slowed down, and with that she came back and just sent me home because her bestfriend told her I didn't say sorry. 🤔
Is it just me or is she doing her job right. My parents always tell me it's not right for them to scream at you.
So am I wrong or ? She's done more things but I don't want to bore you guys.
