Is taking a test at estimated 3w realistic?

I no when I ovulated (April 28) and this morning I noticed my boobs feel so heavy and I have like pin size pains in my uterus and it's been all day with mild cramps. Tomorrow I'd be 3 weeks and my Ovia app says to test in 8 days..

If you ovulated on the 28th of April, you probably wouldn't have implantation until the 5th of May at the earliest and then it would take time for the levels of HCG to be noticeable on a test.
