Depo-shot or The Pill?

Leave your opinions below. I was going to get the implant but I'm worried about all the negative effects that I've heard so I think one of these would work best for me after baby comes.

I wouldn't get the shot again if you gave me  $1000. It's that bad. You're getting 3 months worth of hormones in one single dose.
I gained weight, I was emotional, it literally ended my relationship because I was so crazy, I was depressed, I cried & raged ALL THE TIME, and worse of all.... My birth control caused me to have zero desire for sex what so ever... My sex drive completely crashed

I will never take the depo shot ever again. I gained a lot of weight on it. I had no sex life. I was an emotional mess. It was nice not having a period but I also have fertility issues and so does hubby so it made it that much harder to conceive after it.

Side effects of Depo include bleeding for the first few months, increased appetite, bone density loss, etc.

I could never remember to take pills when i trued back in high school. If I ever need birth control for whatever reason that will not be a choice.

Do not go with the Depo. Him had 2 periods a month for a year and that's not including when I would just randomly bleed for a day in between. Also, anybody I know that was on the shot (that wasn't bleeding to death) got pregnant while on it.

I was on the shot for about 2 and a half years. I didn't gain weight I was just emotional and felt sick a lot (it was tricking my body into thinking I was pregnant basically) and I didn't get my period which was cool but not good as I would feel bloated and backed up etc. It took about 6 months for me to get pregnant after getting off the shot. I just had my daughter 2 weeks ago and gor the IUD arm implanted birth controll the day I was discharged from the hospital. So far so good. It's more effective than getting your tubes tied! & lasts either 3 or 4 years. It didn't hurt to get it placed or anything like that. But like all things there are side effects. I'm not wanting another one so soon or I would just take the pills BUT I'll forget to take them lol.

I've tried everything from the shot to the patch and the only thing that didn't make me crazy was the rod!

No to depo I did the shot for 2 years and gained so much weight I was at 109 and gained 135 I was in high school at that time years ago. Also when you do depo if you stop it and plan to have children in the Long run you have to wait it won't happen right away and it took a little while for my body to get back on track with my periods.
