Foley bulb failed

I was 39 weeks, they started induction using inserting the Foley bulb, I was 1cm dilated with soft cervix. First of all inserting that bulb is excruciatingly pain full. Then it started cramping, so strong cramping without any contraction. After 12 hrs, they took out the catheter and found only 1.5cm dilated. Foley bulb didn't work at all. They sent me back home and scheduled for another induction on 40 weeks 1 day.

Any body experiencing the same? Do I call the Induction failed? If I do not have any natural contraction, do I have to go through c section? A little worried now, first-time mom with a baby girl...drama begins before birth even!! Lol
