Morning after pill

I took the Plan B pill after a comdom broke about 3 weeks ago. I've heard that people that take it get their period after they take it but I didn't get mine until today. It is the worst period I've ever had in my life. I had to call in sick for work and leave school early because of how terrible I felt. And now all the period blood is like chunky. It is disgusting.
