Doulas for those wanting to go natural?

My mom and I think it would be a good idea for me to hire a doula since I want to go the natural childbirth route...anybody else in the same boat?

Any tips?!🤗

I didn't hire a Dula but I did have both my babies naturally learning different coping techniques made it possible!

You can do it without spending all that money for a doula. Learn different breathing and coping techniques, have someone there who supports your wanting to go natural and will help you keep that goal & won't break down as soon as you say you can't do it.

I have a doula! And i LOVE her! I'm a FTM, 29 weeks now and I have been working with her since 16 weeks. Not only does she give lots of tips as far as stretches and techniques but she is constantly boosting my confidence and reassuring me of my capabilities. It is so wonderful to hear when everyone around me is constantly "just get the drugs" "you are gonna want the drugs" etc etc etc. And my doula is a massage therapist and plans to massage my back, hips, and legs throughout the birth 😬 Oo Ya! I say worth every penny!

My cousin is studying to be a doula so she's going to be mine.  I'm really excited to have someone to support a natural birth because I know my husband will just tell me to get a epideral after awhile

I'm looking into it. My sister had a natural vaginal birth and said that she would be my doula... Don't think I can trust her being there( she lives in a different state)
