Is anyone using a Doula as your support during birth?

I just had my first call with a Doula and I am very excited that having her support both Pre and during delivery will be beneficial to me. I love my husband dearly but I know he freezes up in stressful situations. She will do private meetings with us before for preparation.  With his schedule we weren't able to get into any classes that would have fit our timing.
