Fibroids+Breech = C section??!!!

Please read...anyone that has knowledge or have gone through this please share your thoughts or experience.

I'm 31.3 weeks. I have 2 uterine fibroids that are of pretty good size, they even caused me to have preterm contractions and had to be hospitalized for 3 days when I was 6 months pregnant. One in upper region and one on the lower region.

So I went to the doctor today for my checkup and the baby is still breech. Doctor says that fibroids sometimes can prevent baby from turning and if that's the case then c section, if baby does turn and head does not drop below my lower region fibroid, then c section, if baby has not turned by 36 weeks then we will schedule a c section, we can't perform ECV (try to turn the baby externally) due to fibroids, said she would only do that in an ideal situation. Says even if baby turns around she will only let me labor for so long due to fibroids may be blocking her and she also said she will not let me labor for more than 24 hours. I just feel like In her head all answers are c section and I really want a vaginal delivery. I know a healthy baby is the only concern but I really want to try.

It also doesn't make me feel good that she goes on vacation the following day I'm to be induced.

I had a patient a couple weeks that had this issue. Her doctor decided on a C section bc the fibroids cause more damage and bleeding. Once the c section was over the doctor said they made the right call. She said the fibroid was a lot bigger than they thought and was actually blocking the birth canal so the baby wouldn't be able to evacuate naturally and she would have had to c-section anyways.

I would research your options. Look at evidence based birth sites and see if there is anything that talks about fibroids and delivering vaginally. I do not have personal experience with fibroids and breech baby. Also try Facebook mom groups and see if any one there has suggestions or experience on it. I hope this helps a little.

Another note on breech. There is a site called spinning babies that works wonders. Also acupuncturists and chiropractors (make sure they are certified in the Webster technique) can help with turning baby naturally

My very first one was breech and at the last moment to.. she decided to flip side ways during labor and the docter had to cut me open down there and use both his hands to turn her back around it was to late for a C section and even though I didn't feel it i knew it would hurt after .. she weighed 8.6 so yea
