Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces...???...

Do they work?? What are your thoughts and/or experience using the Amber teething necklaces.

My sister swears by them. But her advice was to make sure it's REAL amber and not fake because alot of places sell fake ones now. I plan to get one and try it out on myself first.

I'm sceptical - only because I've read the horror stories of babies getting tangled in them... 
Some say they're great, others not so great. I dunno

Honestly, they creep me out. They supposedly contain a natural analgesic but why would you want to flood their system with that around the clock for months, if it's really working like they say? Although there is no scientific evidence to back the theory on how they supposedly work. Not to mention the choking hazards.  I am super a crunchy, natural mom but I will not ever use one of these.

At 9 months old our DD was absolutely miserable with her teeth. We were alternating Motrin and Tylenol while with family in TN. Hubby said "that's it" we've got to find something better. He found the necklace, ordered it, put it on when we got home and didn't take it off until around 18 months. It's the only thing that worked for us! My advice is beware of fakes

Yeah don't leave it on when baby is asleep.. always watch your baby while wearing the necklace. We never had an issue.

I swear by them. One time j forgot to put it back on my daughter and we were wondering what the heck was wrong... My husband desperately said put her necklace back on!! Haha. I've heard there are fake ones out there though so I'd be careful where you buy it from.

When my son started teething I got him one and I swore by it, he wore it for almost 2 years I think. He was so calm and slept great! Never complained of his teeth, never had to give him any type of meds for them either. I loved it and I plan to get a new one or use the old one if we have any more babies.
