Took 10 Yrs to Discover Reason for 4 MC's
If you haven't ever heard of it, Google "uterine septum" or "septate uterus". I just found out today, 10 years after I first started trying to get pregnant, that this is very likely the reason I cannot stay pregnant.
I'll be 35 in 11 days. When I was 25, my ex-husband and I started trying for a baby. He was reluctant to be tested but had no problem with me being poked and prodded. I did all kinds of diagnostics with no real results. Without him doing a seminal analysis, most doctors wouldn't go very far with us. I gave up on that and tried natural remedies - Royal jelly, bee pollen, vitamins, standing in my head, etc. we had one miscarriage in 5 years.
Since my divorce I've lost three more babies at varying weeks, with two different boyfriends. My current boyfriend and I have been together 4 years and have been trying for three years. We are amidst our second miscarriage together. All this time, not one doctor has even tried to figure out what is happening, until now.
I've been diagnosed with poly-cystic ovarian disorder and a uterine septum - cysts on my ovaries and a line of tissue dividing my uterus basically in half. Why did it take 10 years?!?
