any moms out here that has high blood pressure whild pregnant ?

ok question what do you do besides take meds for your high blood pressure when you go to the doctor to get it to lower? when i go i get myself all worked up before they take my pressure and that does nothing but make it higher. any suggestions ????

If you can get a bp machine take it at home. Mine was always high during my second pregnancy in the Drs office but normal when I'd take it at home. They call it white coat syndrome. I had very high bp readings when I was pregnant with my first so I was just always nervous the second time around. 
But if it is high the only cure is most likely when you deliver. Keep hydrated and avoid a lot of sweets if you can :-)

I have high blood pressure. I'm on labetalol, but before I would go to my doctor, I would eat two bananas. When they are taking it, try to relax and take deep breaths as they are taking it. Worked every time for me :)
